On Thursday and Friday 18–19 August, Science and Technology’s Advisory Board held its annual meeting and gave the dean and vice-deans good advice and professional feedback. The theme of the annual meeting was the ST Strategy 2016–2020, with particular focus on the aims and implementation of the new strategy for the faculty.

Cost savings in connection with ST’s budget 2016–19 are now in place

It has been possible to distribute most of the savings centrally and at the departments/centres without any job losses. However, it has been necessary to include redundancies at three departments – the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, the Department of Animal Science and the Department of Bioscience.
