Advisory Board will get together in August

The Advisory Board for Science and Technology has been appointed and will hold its first meeting on 15–16 August 2013.

“By appointing the Advisory Board, Science and Technology has gained a strong panel of advisers, who will help provide an international view and challenge the Dean’s Office with constructive criticism,” says Dean Brian Bech Nielsen.

The Advisory Board for Science and Technology consists of external members from Denmark and abroad, and together they will cover the four focus areas: research, talent development, knowledge exchange and education.

The members of the Advisory Board for Science and Technology 2013–2016 are:

  • Professor Martin J. Kropff, Rector, Wageningen University (NL)
  • Professor Gerry Gilmore, Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge (UK)
  • Professor James Hicks, Associate Vice-Chancellor for Research, University of California, Irvine (USA)
  • Professor David T. Barnard, President and Vice-Chancellor, University of Manitoba (CA)
  • Professor Lea Kauppi, Director General, Finnish Environment Institute (FIN)
  • Lars Aagaard, Group Executive Vice President, Grundfos (DK)
  • Dr Bjerne S. Clausen, CEO, Haldor Topsøe (DK)
  • Klaus Peter Bøgesø, Vice-President for External Affairs, Lundbeck (DK)
  • Rikke Palmgren, Rector, Aalborg Technical College (DK)
  • Jakob Thulesen Dahl, Rector, Skanderborg Upper Secondary School (DK)
