New parking regulations in Ny Munkegade

From now on, the parking places in the driveway from Ny Munkegade will be reserved for members of staff. To park there – even if you are only visiting – you must therefore register your car with Digital Parking.

As of 30 January 2017, your car must be registered via Digital Parking in order to park on weekdays from 7.00 to 17.00 in the parking places between the buildings facing onto Ny Munkegade. This includes buildings 1520, 1530, 1540 and 1550, and the gravel parking area south of building 1540.

This also applies if you only occasionally visit Ny Munkegade. If you are expecting a visitor, you can create a guest parking permit that is valid for one day.

Once you have registered your car, the parking warden can see that you have a permit to park in the area by scanning your car’s number plate. As an Aarhus University employee, you can use your AU ID to register up to two cars, but you may not park both cars in AU’s parking areas at the same time.

You must register your car at Digital Parking. Select the parking area ‘University Park, the south-west part’. Once you have registered your parking permit, you will receive an e-mail confirming that the permit has been created. You can also log in to Digital Parking at any time and check that you are correctly registered.

Please pay particular attention to the fact that

  • Parking permits for employees and guests do not apply to the spaces intended for guests, where a four-hour time limit is indicated. These spaces are reserved for visitors to Aarhus University, and the four-hour limit applies even if you have a parking permit.
  • AU official cars with the ‘Aarhus University’/AU logo affixed to the car, and cars belonging to suppliers and other companies visiting/working at AU (the company name and CVR number must be affixed to the car) are exempt from the parking rules and may park freely in the parking areas (however, only for a maximum of four hours in areas with a four-hour time limit).
