  • Do not workout bare-chested.
  • Please bring a towel and wipe the machines after use. This applies to both weight training machines and cardio machines. Spray bottles with soap are available in the gym. Paper towels are available in the dispensers.
  • Remove the weights from the bars when you are done using them and don't leave weights on the floor in front of the wall bars.
  • Clean up after yourself! put the weights/skipping ropes/elastic band and other equipment back on the table/shelves after use. If you have used a cup or a glass from the kitchen in the common room, then put it in the dish washes after use – the Gym should be a nice and tidy place for everybody.
  • Be considerate to your colleagues.

The Common room

In the common room you will find many possibilities for leisure activities. This includes e.g. table tennis, foosball, darts, and a variety of games. There is also a kitchen, where you can prepare some food. The common room is maintained by the Staff Club, which is also responsible for all new purchases. If there is anything you think we need in the common room, send us an e-mail, and we will look into it.

You can book the common room, if you are planning an event. We should, however, emphasize that the common room can only be booked and used for events for employees at AU-Foulum. If you would like to book the F32 – common room, please send an e-mail to the Staff Club (Personaleforening.Foulum.kom@au.dk). If you are having an event in the common room, it is your responsibility to clean and tidy up after you. This includes returning tables and chairs to the equipment room, put used dishes in the dishwasher, start the dishwasher and put the dishes back in its place when done. You should also remove any food from the refrigerator, remove empty bottles and tidy up in the kitchen.

The common room is for the benefit of all employees at AU-Foulum, so please help us keeping the room nice and tidy. There is nobody else to do it.

The Gym

At AU-Foulum we are lucky to have a nice and well-equipped gym for all employees. This gives you very good facilities to do exactly the training you want. The Gym is maintained by the Staff Club, which is also responsible for all new purchases. If you have suggestions for new equipment, write us an e-mail and we will look into it.

In the Gym you will find:

  • A wide selection of HOIST weight training machines
  • Machines for cardio training, e.g. rowing machines, stationary bikes, cross trainers, and a tread mill
  • Free weight equipment, e.g. a squat rack, kettle bells, free weights fitness balls, elastics, mats, etc.

If you have not trained in a gym before and want an introduction or just want new inspiration for your training, feel free to write an e-mail to Birthe (Birthe.houbak@anis.au.dk). Then we will make an appointment and set you up with a good program.

The Gym is for the benefit of all employees at AU-Foulum, so please help us to keep it nice, clean, and tidy. This means returning all equipment after use, take the bar bells off the bars when you are done and place the bar low so everybody can reach it, as well as cleaning the machines after use.
