Three multi-million grants from the Novo Nordisk Foundation

The Novo Nordisk Foundation has granted three researchers from Science and Technology DKK 10 million each for research projects in the life sciences and biomedical field.

Further groundbreaking for food

A Chinese philosopher once said; “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. This also applies for ambitious construction projects: building a new 9,000 m2 department begins with a single hole in the ground. And now, on a beautiful spring day 20 March, the first sod has been cut for the new Department of Food Science building.

Launch of the multifunctional drugs of the future

There is enormous potential in the research now being taken up by the Center for Multifunctional Biomolecular Drug Design (CEMBID) at Aarhus University. The aim is to create a new generation of drugs that can be used to diagnose and treat cancer and atherosclerosis – which together account for two-thirds of the causes of death globally.

Call for applications for visiting scholarships to American top universities

PhD students, postdocs and professors at Danish universities can apply for funding for research stays at Stanford, UC Berkeley and MIT.

Groundbreaking ceremony for The Department of Food Science's new buildings

Aarhus University will be cutting the first sod for the new Department of Food Science buildings on 20 March. Among participants at the ceremony will be the chairman of the Regional Council, the mayor and the rector of AU. The new building will be situated in Agro Food Park in Skejby.

The coming data protection regulation (GDPR) tightens the rules regarding the handling and storage of personal data. Targeted efforts are underway to ensure that AU is in compliance with the rules and is able answer all questions. Regular updates on the stricter rules concerning the use of personal data will be provided.
